A Unique Firm
Touchstone Consulting Group was founded in 1995. Having been
founded by senior benefits professionals, we began with close
to 100 years of experience. As may be noted in the
resumes, each principal consultant has not only a specialty
(health and welfare, retirement and executive), but also a broad
grasp of all aspects of employee benefits. Also, each has a
wealth of experience with companies, large and small, with
single or multiple plans, whether single location or
geographically or organizationally decentralized.
This gives any client the assurance that
all work will be handled within the overall perspective of a
well-designed program which is cost-effective and in compliance
with rules and regulations, as well as designed and maintained
at the desired level of competitiveness.
Like our associates in other countries,
Touchstone was established under the belief that there is a need
for the employee benefits firm that puts its professionals out
front working with clients, rather than in back room management
positions.
Touchstone is an independently owned firm,
operating in the interest of clients. We are not a subsidiary
or arm of a brokerage company, a mutual fund, an accounting firm,
or of anybody else. Touchstone is a fee-for-service firm,
taking 100% of its revenues from professional fees. This gives
added assurance to a client that all work is in its sole
interest.
Another advantage to clients of Touchstone
is the fact that we do not have a back room of non-client-related
people. This means, among other things, that our consultants
personally study the original text of new laws, regulations,
practices, customs and so forth. This is accomplished by direct
client service, on-going staff meetings on current issues, and
participation in actuarial, legal and employee benefit meetings
and conferences. Although we constantly compare and contrast
our knowledge with others, we feel that the real value for a
client is that our primary source of knowledge is first hand,
both for the client and about the
client.
